About Me,
In my early 20's I adopted Hazel from the animal shelter in Talent, OR. Hazel was a sweet but rambunctious husky mix who had been surrendered twice by past care takers. I knew she was my dog when I saw her. I brought her home and I found out quickly why she'd been returned to the shelter. Owning a dog that reacts in excess and often is difficult.
But Hazel is a good girl and really I had to earn the trust of a husky, She, like most reactive dogs, deserve a great life too. I began working with Hazel and slowly our range expanded from our backyard, to walks on our street, to my office job, to hikes at Roxy Ann peak. With consistency and practice Hazel now lives comfortably with a 2yo Lab(Harvey) and a recent addition a Kitten 4 months old(Trout).
Proof in the pudding, meet Harvey, a Labrador raised from a young puppy to help ease Hazel's reactivity. Through consistent training Harvey has become a multi-tool of an aide-dog to assist me in trainings.
